For me making this jewelry is my dance. Dance has been a huge part of my life since I was 4. I can see that the relationship of moving matter & moving the physical form are one in the same. I have been creating jewelry for over 23 years. While in a japanese papermaking class I accidentally tore one of my sculptures & it became a pair of earrings. From that day forward I have been exploring different materials, from old pocketwatch wheels to Opals. Hopefully evolving, but always challenging myself to create something new & different. As my life unfolds so do my ideas.

The construction of each piece begins by looking at the materials I have gathered & taking into mind the color, texture & shape. Then preferring to work without putting too many limits on myself I let the alchemy of art evolve in its own way. By using traditional metalsmithing & sculpture techniques such as forming, carving, soldering & sanding I create unique sculptural jewelry. Each new collection is influenced by the last one. Presently, I am combining my carved wood sculptures with sterling silver, 18kt gold, boulder opals & other precious gems. The chair theme has also been dominating this past years work but is now evolving into the use of old pocketwatch wheels to create an entirely new body of work. I am inspired by life itself, especially as it is expressed in laughter, love and change. I find Nature to be one of my biggest influences and have cast twigs from my birch trees to combine them in a Zen-like setting with various gems and
other discovered elements."

Since I work alone I am limited to what I can produce myself in a given year, so the evolution is somewhat slower than I would prefer. Being a Gypsy at heart, I travel frequently to various juried art shows around the country, fulfilling my two passions, “creating & traveling”.
